The Rubber Meets the Road

Let me just say that I'm so glad Monday is here! Work was really good this weekend, albeit exhausting, and the puppy left me poopy messes in his cage twice. Today has started well though, and I've buckled down with the puppy's crate time. I had just been letting the puppy nap whenever he felt like it, but he wasn't sleeping that much, and he was just getting into trouble. That said I've been giving him two hour crate times every couple of hours. It's so nice to feel like I get my time, he isn't grouchy, and there have been no messes in the house yet. Woot!! I'm just saying - enjoy the small victories! He also starts puppy classes Wednesday which will be amazing! It will be so nice to let him socialize, learn, and burn some energy.

I would write more, but I'm so tired - so while the puppy naps so will I!!!!!!

Haha I know right! Well it was a long work weekend too, so you know. The puppy has me up through the night plus I've been up by 4:45-5:30 for 3 weeks now. I'm just saying... ;-) Btw, you owe me a visit!!

wait till you get to be fifty-percent of fifty!

half way up the mountain of life.

just reaching the tree line, where the view begins to clear.

the air is thin, crisp, and clear. you're body is unfazed by the lower oxygen (mostly because you haven't yet started using you're brain enough to be effected).

the sounds of birds and bees give way to the sounds of rushing waters, rolling rocks, and eagles call.

you're anticipation of the view from the summit is just beginning to bud.

then you stop because you've received some inane text message that you've just got to reply to...

hew!

i seem to have had a problem with the improper use of the contraction, you're this morning. yes, i do know it is a contraction, but was completely wrong in the usage, my sincerest apologies! i must develop a pathetic-sounding excuse for this.

So, here is the excuse.

It must have been the lack of coffee. should never write anything before one cup, this is a fact.

my apologies to all those schooled at home, or proficient in the use of the english language.

yours, slightly sincere,

sfl

there is great news for all!

sfl's diminishing capabilities are soon to be restored.

German neuroscientists made a breakthrough in 'age-related cognitive decline', a common condition that often begins in one's late 40s (especially declarative memory — the ability to recall facts and experiences). Their new study identifies a genetic 'switch' for the cluster of learning and memory genes that cause memory impairment in aging mice. By injecting an enzyme, the team 'flipped' the switch to its on position for older mice, giving them the memory and learning performance they'd enjoyed when they were young. Now the team ultimately hopes to recover seemingly lost long-term memory in human patients."

no longer will the young whippersnappers be laughing at sfl, taking advantage of his "apparently diminished" cognitive abilities. sfl will renew his competitive vigor and leave the young of the world in his wake, floundering, and gasping for breath. sfl will lay them to waste, eating their lunch, dinner, and tomorrows breakfast. gird up your loins and brace for the hurricane that is sfl.

hew!

First of all - I think that I shall call you Mighty Mouse from here on out.

Also, didn't you know that they already make a drug for performance issues?...Ginkgo Biloba...Just saying...

Secondly, I will still laugh at you.

I might also start calling you The Hurricane...and getting regular weather/wind updates from you. You are finally more amazing than the Weather Channel.

Haha I loved your posts!!! I love you, and will always give you wovings

don't violate my personal space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps - while my cognitive abilities will soon be soaring again with the turkey vultures, my shrontal lobe continues frinking and i will always be sfl. however you may call me "the hurricane" as a term of endearment if you wish. i would prefer being called "the 'cane". it sounds so manly.

he!
