This is what I have been up to in my spare time. Granted It's not all that great, but it'd been fun! Yea for cheap paints, and days off!!

very nice indeed!

it has a certain post-apostolic- catechismic sort of motif. the sky a blend of falling night with surreal coloration from the massive pollution of the sulfuric acid resulting from numerous volcanic eruptions. yes, yellowstone is now a cauldron of magma, dust, and sulfurous emissions. the middle of america is covered in a thick blanket of dust, the sky over much of eastern america darkened and cold. the beginnings of global cooling and coming glaciation. well, at least now we don't have to worry about the extinction of the polar bear. and WOT is already prodding me to start hoarding flint and begin knapping in anticipation of the returning Mammoth. Ugh!

thanks for the turn down memory lane!

FLINTKNAPPING!!!!!!!!!!

And your painting deserves a comment all its own. It is beautiful!!! I LOVE the colors!! Art/creating is so therapeutic, or as Barney Fife says, therapitic.

yeah, flintknapping!

so what's your point???

Jess said...

My point is that I really really really really really want to learn flintknapping.

:D

Perhaps you, O Thal, could instruct?

:D

actually, you should go to the civil war re-enactment at Letchworth and the supreme knapper will be there. you could also join the local flintknapper's club in the greater rochester area and learn from the master's. i am but a poor hack by comparison.

happy knapping!!!
